Flooding After Storm
The rain waters entered the crawl space of this home and saturated the soil, plumbing, and some duct work.
Our SERVPRO technicians set up a portable sump pump to extract most of the pooling water. The four-foot height allowed us to enter with portable devices to suction up some remaining puddles of water.
We then set up powerful air movers to increase circulation and hasten the evaporation of the excess humidity in this enclosed area.
We developed a plan with the owner, see the after photo, of eventually putting polyethylene sheeting on the soil to create a vapor barrier and replace some of the water damaged ducts.
We sprayed the entire area with an anti fungal and antimicrobial agent for a final sanitation. We also offered to insulate the floor joists and sheathing to help with fuel consumption and containment of crawl space air.
